Sushi Go! is the card game that teaches drafting to eight-year-olds without them noticing: each player takes one card from their hand and passes the rest, trying to collect sets of nigiri, tempura, sashimi and the pudding that decides the end. A round takes fifteen minutes and the art is cute enough that nobody minds losing.
It is the stocking stuffer for a kid who likes games, the birthday present a gamer uncle gives because it is the gateway to real games, and the tin that lives in a coat pocket for restaurants and waiting rooms. Adults play it on its own merits.
Ages 8 and up, two to five players, in a metal tin. Twelve dollars for the card game that gets played a hundred times.
