The QcK has been the default mouse pad of esports pros for nearly 20 years, which is a strange thing to say about a piece of cloth, but the micro-woven surface really does track cleanly at both low and high DPI settings. This is the XXL version: 35 inches wide, 16 inches deep, and 0.2 inches thick, so it stops being a mouse pad and becomes the surface of the desk itself. Keyboard, mouse, and elbows all live on the same soft, consistent plane.
The thick non-slip rubber base is the underrated part. Normal pads creep and bunch mid-game; this one weighs enough and grips enough that it simply does not move. As a gift, it works because almost nobody buys the big pad for themselves. Most gamers are still squeezing their aim onto some 10-inch freebie that shipped with an old mouse. Hand them a desk-sized upgrade from the brand the pros use and you look like you know things, for roughly the price of a pizza night.
