The PETLIBRO feeder is a sealed hopper with a dispenser that drops a measured portion into the bowl on a schedule set in the app, and the reason cat people love it is the five a.m. problem: the cat learns the machine feeds it, not the human, and stops walking on faces. It records a voice message to call the pet, and the app shows whether the meal dropped.
It is the Christmas gift for a cat person who travels for work, the housewarming gift for someone who finally has a cat of their own, and the gift for a dog person with a small dog on a diet.
It holds about five liters of dry food, runs on the wall adapter with batteries as backup, and the bowl is stainless and dishwasher safe. Under eighty dollars for the thing that gets a pet owner a full night's sleep.
