The Flower Bouquet is the set that made LEGO a grown-up gift. Fifteen stems, among them roses, snapdragons, poppies and lavender, built from 756 pieces with petals made of parts you have never seen used that way, and adjustable stems that go in any vase. It takes a couple of evenings and then it sits on a shelf for years.
It is a Valentine's or anniversary gift that beats cut flowers on every count except smell, and a birthday or Mother's Day present for someone who likes doing things with their hands. Minimalists keep it because it is the one decorative object that earned its place.
Rated 18 and up, no stickers, no vase included; a plain glass bottle looks best. Build time is about three hours. It costs roughly what a florist charges once, and this bouquet is still there next February.
