No 12
The Instax Mini 12 is the instant camera that prints a credit-card sized photo in about ninety seconds, and the 12 is the first one that exposes correctly without thought: automatic exposure, a selfie mirror on the front, and a twist of the lens for close-ups. Every picture comes out a little soft and warm, which is why people like them.
It is a Valentine's or birthday gift for a girlfriend or sister who takes photos of everything, a graduation present that ends up documenting the first year away, and a quietly right gift for a teacher who wants photos of the class on the wall.
The camera comes in several pastel colors; the one shown is lilac purple. It takes Instax Mini film, which is not included and costs under a dollar a shot, so add a twin pack to the gift. Two AA batteries, a wrist strap, nothing to learn.
